Before you can get the opportunity to watch these epic season here in Kenya, here are five key moments that we just cannot wait to see. Given that the accounts have been obtained from the series book not everything on this list is guaranteed to happen with the new season of game of thrones, but we feel pretty confident that it will.
SPOILERS ALERT!!! As usual this list will contain massive SPOILERS, so be warned. |
1. Stack & The Hound
There is no doubt that the season finale of season 3 gave us a taste of what a perfect team Arya and Sandor Clegane make ("Stark and The Hound: They Solve Problems"), but they're just getting started. The season four of game of thrones is bound to see the road trip antics of Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth intesify, the two's bloody trek across Westeros is one of the most memorable storylines in George RR Martin's source novels.
2. The Greyjoys & The Kingsmoot
The finale of games of thrones season 3 gave a different perspective for House Greyjoy, much of which is not present in the series original books, but still no one can argue that season 3 of Games of Thrones brought with it memorable scenes involving the iron family. The season saw the Kings brothers Euron and Victarion returning from the past when King Balon bites the bullet, The two arrived so as to participate in a "Kingsmoot" which would determine who will lead the people of Pyke. The Kingsmoot offers an an amazing look at the politics of one of the most dysfunctional and terrifying families, the Westeros. They're just as awful as the Lannisters, but without the pretense of class and money.
3. The Battle Of Mereen
We all know that, season 3 of Game of Thrones saw Daenerys spending much of the season marching around Essos, sacking cities and freeing slaves, if you were hoping that these might change, well you are not in luck, season 4 of Game of Thrones will see Daenerys picking up where season 3 three ended. These sason will see the Mother of Dragons finding herself her biggest challenge yet at the city of Mereen, where the city leaders have heard about what had happened at Astapor and Yunkai and are eagerly awaiting for her arrival. Given that her her ranks is swelled by tens of thousands of former slaves she will ve forced to make the siege short forcing her to take drastic messures and sending Jorah Mormont and Barristan Selmy on their most dangerous mission yet. These season will also will also highlight the first cracks in the relationship between Dany and Jorah.
4. The Battle Of The Wall
Jon Snow happens to be one of my favorite star on Game of Thrones, given that he has spent much of the past 3 seasons talking about, making all kinds of mistakes and learning all kinds of valuable life lessons from his brothers in black and the wildlings alike. However these seems to be coming to an end in season 4, with Jeor dead and Mance marching on the Wall, it's time for the person given the responsibilities of Winterfell to step up and prove that yes, he actually does know a thing or two. The extended battle at the Wall is one of the most exciting moments in 'A Song of Ice and Fire' and it'll pay off the past three years of Jon Snow shenanigans.
5. The Murder Of Tywin & Shae
'Game of Thrones' has never been a show that shys away about ruthlessly offing major characters, and one of the most shocking deaths outside of the Red Wedding is without a doubt the brutal demise of Tywin Lannister and Shae at the hands of (the bad guy) Tyrion. The series sees Tryrion being framed for the death of King Joffrey, everyone's favorite Lannister has nothing to lose when Jaime helps him escape his cell. However, he takes a quick detour on his way to freedom, stopping by his father's room...only to find Shae in his bed. He strangles his former lover and shoots his father in the groin with a crossbow while he sits on the toilet, leaving the most powerful man on the continent dead on the john with a prostitute in his bed. It's a point of no return for Tyrion and it leaves a power vacuum that everyone in King's Landing struggles to fill.
