DIVERGENT FRANCHISE GETS A FORTH MOVIE: ALLEGIANT

Are you ready for Allegiant. Summit entertainment has just announced that the final book in the Divergent series will be divided into two movies, these move follows other porpular series book such as the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (just to mention a few) which were also split into two.

The final chapter in these series book sees a risk action packed conclusion which is brought to life by the author of the book Veronica Roth, when asked about the above matter this is what the Co-Chairman of Lions Gate Motion Picture Group Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger had to say,
"The storytelling arc and world of the characters lend themselves perfectly to two films, a storytelling strategy that has worked very well for us on the two Twilight |
Breaking Dawn films and about which we're tremendously enthusiastic for the two upcoming Mockingjay films of The Hunger Games franchise."
It has been a good run for Divergent at the box office earning a cool $117 million at the domestic box office in its first three weeks of release. The sequel, which is called Insurgent, will beging production next month and is set to hit the big screens on March 20, 2015 while the last chapter in the book, Allegiant - Parts 1 & 2 are set to be released on March 18, 2016, and March 24, 2017, respectively.
