The film which stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, and Dane DeHaan has been receiving great reviews from different movie critics although it has not been greeted with enthusiasm that other movies such as the marvel Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
With Amazing Spiderman set to premier in Kenya in the coming months, here are some reviews about it from other movie sites and critics that will help you decide wether or not you should watch it at the big screen. |
We start of with the positive reviews, Stefan Pape from Hey U Guys gives the Amazing Spiderman four stars out of five, stating that the film “remains gloriously faithful to its rather boastful and presumptuous title.”
Another review comes from the guys from Digital spy who give the film a three out of five, they go ahead and note that the Amazing Spider-Man 2 seems more like an exercise in calculated franchise architecture than its does a cohesive stand-alone blockbuster.
Ben Nicholson over at Cine Vue also gives it three stars out of five, and says that “while it shares problems with its predecessor, it also confirms Garfield as the very best big screen iteration of Spidey.”
For the negative reviews which have not been that many, comes from Oliver Lyttelton from The Playlist, who gave it a D rating: The sequel… doesn’t just double down on what didn’t work in the first film, it manages to undo some of the good qualities of the original as well. The result is a film that kicks off the summer blockbuster season with a resounding thud.
The Amazing Spiderman is Set to open internationally on April 16th and on May 2 in America, so be sure that there will be lots of reviews before it hits the Kenyan market
