A new featurette to 'Maleficent', Disney's upcoming re-imagining of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale has been released.

The new featurette showcases previously unseen footage, interviews with Angelina Jolie who plays who the the Dark eponymous dark fairy and Elle Fanning who plays the role of Princess Aurora as well as other cast members. The interview basically focuses on how the project is with screen write Linda Woolverton stating that Maleficent is a re-invention of sleeping beauty rather than a convectional retelling.
Some of the top members working on Maleficent include Linda Woolverton and director Robert Stromberg who was once the prodction designer on Alice in Wonderland and Oz The Great & Powerful. |
'Maleficent which is a remake of the popular sleeping beauty tale reveals the back story for the eponymous dark fairy, prior to her cursing the beautiful Princess Aurora to prick her finger on a spinning wheel thus entering a death-like eternal sleep and setting up the stage for a striking departure from tradition, with regard to what usually happens in the story after that.
