Now, the Internet has presented us with this new fake goodie from the TV world: Orange Is the New Black is cancelled.
The online hoax that tricked thousands into thinking Netflix had pulled the plug on the beloved prison dramedy comes from satirical website The Onion wannabe Empire News.
“We regret to inform Netflix members that Orange Is the New Black has been permanently cancelled,” the articled quoted Netflix’s CEO as saying in a statement. To further double the angst of every OITNB fan out there: “Also, starting September 1st, 2014, past episodes will no longer be available for streaming on Netflix."
